Legacy's existing website lacked intuitive navigation, making it difficult for potential members to find the information they craved. To address this challenge, we heavily relied on wireframes. These low-fidelity mockups served as a blueprint, outlining the site’s structure and layout of the customer portal.
Wireframes allowed us to:
Map User Flows: We meticulously mapped out the various ways users would navigate the website, ensuring a seamless experience for tasks like finding nearby facilities, browsing membership options, or scheduling a visit.
Prioritize Functionality: By focusing on functionality within the wireframes, we prioritized features that addressed user needs and aligned with Legacy's brand identity.

• "Give me dials over touchscreens any day.": Mark is skeptical of new technology in the cockpit, believing it can be distracting and prone to failure.
Understanding the user needs went even deeper. We didn't design in a vacuum. By presenting data-driven insights through KPIs and SMART goals to stakeholders, we built a strong case for features that truly benefit users. This approach helped secure buy-in for functionalities like intuitive location finders and engaging virtual tours that cater to a diverse audience.
Remember, Legacy Sports Complex isn't just for elite athletes; it's a haven for parents and aspiring athletes of all ages. Our data-driven approach ensured the website resonated with this broad spectrum – from seasoned competitors to young athletes embarking on their athletic journey, and the parents who support them.
Beyond the Walls of the Studio:
Gathering content for a nationwide athletic facility presented a logistical hurdle. Traveling to a different state required flexibility. We leveraged video conferencing technology to conduct interviews with trainers, capturing their valuable insights remotely.
Stakeholder Alignment:
Capturing the vision of stakeholders, from ownership to management, can be a delicate dance. We facilitated workshops and interactive presentations, ensuring everyone was on board with the design direction. This transparency fostered trust and a collaborative environment.
Adaptability is Key:
The project roadmap is a guide, but real-world schedules can sometimes throw a wrench in the works. When faced with scheduling adjustments, we adopted an agile approach, prioritizing tasks and effectively communicating changes to stakeholders and developers.
Budget Constraints:
Staying within budget is a constant concern. We prioritized features based on user needs and impact, ensuring the most essential functionalities were delivered within the financial constraints. Open communication with stakeholders kept everyone aligned with budget realities.
Developer Collaboration:
A seamless handoff between design and development is crucial. We maintained consistent communication with the development team throughout the project. Sharing design components, user flows, and prototypes ensured developers understood the vision and facilitated a smooth transition from design to implementation.
Design System Harmony:
Maintaining consistency within the design system was paramount. We established clear design guidelines and style guides early on. Regular design reviews throughout the project ensured all screens and functionalities adhered to the established design language.
